Experts, scholars, institutional representatives, and practitioners from a wide array of fields—including meditation, mental health, religious philosophy, artificial intelligence, education, philanthropy, and social innovation—convened to take part in this milestone event.

Council members, drawn from a variety of countries and professional fields, will jointly contribute to strategic planning and key decision-making processes, bringing interdisciplinary expertise and global perspectives to the advancement of meditation worldwide. The establishment of the Council also lays the groundwork for the Association’s future global cooperation and meaningful intercultural dialogue.

Three Key Global Initiatives for 2025 Announced
As part of its forward strategy, the Governing Council approved three major international initiatives for 2025:

1. Establishment of the World Meditation Day Committee
This committee will oversee the planning, coordination, and promotion of World Meditation Day activities worldwide, helping to grow public engagement and expand the global influence of meditation culture.
2. Launch of the First AI + Meditation International Forum
Scheduled for October 2025, the inaugural AI + Meditation Forum will explore the innovative intersections between artificial intelligence and meditation practices—including applications in guided meditation, mental health, education, and data analytics. The goal is to foster integration between technology and mindfulness for the benefit of global well-being.
3. Launch of the Global Synchronized Meditation Campaign
On 21 December 2025, designated as World Meditation Day, the Association will lead a global synchronized meditation. At 00:00 GMT, people around the world will be invited to participate in at least 15 minutes of silent meditation, collectively envisioning peace, awareness, and human flourishing.
Interfaith and Intercultural Meditation Session Fosters Mutual Understanding
In the afternoon, the Association hosted a special interfaith and intercultural meditation exchange. Representatives from diverse spiritual and cultural backgrounds engaged in shared meditation practices, heartfelt reflections, and open dialogue.
The gathering offered a space for exploring the shared wisdom of different traditions, and fostered a spirit of inclusion, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.

Building a Global Platform for Meditation Collaboration
The World Meditation Day Association sees this General Assembly as a new beginning for advancing meditation through scientific research, global education, cross-cultural exchange, and international cooperation.
With a commitment to openness, diversity, and innovation, the Association aims to become a leading global platform for collaboration in meditation and mental well-being—serving the broader aspirations of peace and health for all.
